UMECIT actively participated in the “Environmental Management for the Development of Panama” Forum. This activity was carried out within the framework of the Month of Conservation of Natural Resources and the Environment and was organized by RUPADES, a network that promotes environmental management in universities to face the challenges of sustainable development in Panama. The event had the collaboration of MIAMBIENTE and the important participation of our House of Studies, thanks to the work of the Extension Directorate and the coordination of Social Liaison and Intervention.
Students from the degrees in Psychology, Maritime, Radiology, and Occupational Health and Safety stood out in the forum, demonstrating their capabilities and contributions on topics such as environmental awareness, sustainable tourism, climate change, water resources and waste management. solids. The participation of our students underscored their commitment to environmental awareness and education.
These types of events reflect UMECIT's commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The university continues to implement concrete actions that promote care for the environment and the reduction of gaps and inequalities.
