UMECIT celebrates physical activity day with a high-level sports display
Last Friday, March 15, UMECIT experienced a vibrant day on Physical Activity Day. In collaboration with RePaUPS and the Culture and Sports Commission of the Council of Rectors, the UTP university campus was filled with energy and enthusiasm in a celebration that promoted the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle.
Among the various scheduled activities, the 5K race stood out for the extraordinary performance of the UMECIT representatives, who won the first three positions. This achievement reflects the commitment and preparation of our athletes, demonstrating the sporting talent that characterizes our institution.
In addition, women's and men's soccer, as well as 3×3 basketball, were scenes of exciting competitions where our teams demonstrated skill, strategy and determination in each game. Although in some disciplines we reached second place, the performance of our athletes was equally outstanding, filling the entire UMECIT community with pride.
The presence of our beloved mascot Bruno added a special touch to the event, spreading joy and enthusiasm to all those present. With his contagious energy, Bruno became the symbol of the unity and university spirit that characterizes UMECIT.
This memorable day not only highlighted the sporting potential of UMECIT, but also strengthened the sense of community and camaraderie among our students.
We congratulate all the participants for their dedication and effort, and we reaffirm our commitment to continue promoting sport as a fundamental part of the comprehensive training of our young people.
