Meeting between UMECIT and ITSE to Sign Collaboration Agreement
On Monday, May 20, a delegation from the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology -UMECIT-, headed by the Rector Dr. José Alberto Nieto and the Vice Rector of Projects Dr. Santiago Nieto, went to the Higher Specialized Technical Institute (ITSE ). The delegation also included the Director of Legal Advice, Magister Rosa Idali Castañeda, the Director of Extension, Magister Yelitza González Zamorano, and the Coordinator of Agreements, Magister Andrea Pinzón.
During the visit, they met with Dr. Milena Gómez, ITSE Educational Manager, and Dr. Anthea Villanueva, Director of Sector Liaison. The main objective of the meeting was to discuss and advance the signing of a collaboration agreement between UMECIT and ITSE. This alliance seeks to promote higher education in Panama by creating significant synergies that strengthen the capabilities of both institutions.
The collaboration between UMECIT and ITSE promises to offer broad benefits to students, teachers, administrators and the community in general. This agreement has the potential to improve educational quality and support the development of highly trained human resources.
In addition, this joint effort will contribute to the fulfillment of several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
