The Bachelor's Degree in General Psychology developed an important Academic Tour of Prevention and Psychoeducation aimed at the Middle and High School students of the International Bilingual Institute of Panama, bringing psychological training to a space where prevention and support acquire a fundamental value.
During the day, interventions were carried out in each classroom, taking into account the characteristics, needs, and developmental stage of each group. Through a participatory, dynamic, and experiential methodology, the students had the opportunity to reflect, discuss, and acquire tools through group activities, case studies, guided discussions, and practical exercises.
Talking about preventing the use of psychoactive substances means talking about education, health, well-being, and building a healthier future. During stages like adolescence, strengthening protective factors and providing appropriate information allows young people to recognize risky situations, develop criteria for making responsible decisions, and acquire tools to cope with peer pressure.
The day also allowed for work on strengthening personal and social skills, promoting reflection on the consequences of consumption and the importance of building life projects oriented towards well-being.
Prevention is education. Prevention is support. Prevention is providing tools to choose a healthy path.
From the Bachelor's Degree in General Psychology, we continue to strengthen an education committed to the community and to building spaces that promote the integral well-being of new generations.
