Golden Age Project for senior citizens in La Chorrera

As part of its community outreach activities, UMECIT La Chorrera visited the Association of Retirees and Pensioners of the district, with the aim of presenting the Golden Age Project, an initiative focused on continuous learning, emotional well-being and social inclusion of older adults.

The event was aimed at motivating the participation of people interested in joining this training program, which offers various training courses that promote personal development and community integration.

More than 20 senior citizens attended the meeting, showing great interest in participating in this initiative. The participants remained attentive, took notes, and expressed their enthusiasm for joining the program as students. The program is supported by partner institutions, graduating students, current students, administrative staff, and faculty.

This action reaffirms UMECIT's commitment to social engagement and the integral development of the community, promoting inclusive and meaningful learning spaces for all stages of life.

Those participating in the activity included Prof. Víctor Tejada, coordinator of the Psychological Clinic; Mgtr. Isabela Cuevas, academic coordinator of Psychology; and Mgtr. Alexis Del Cid, coordinator of Extension and leader of the Golden Age Project.
