The Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology -UMECIT- participated in Consultation workshop for the formulation of the National Policy on Occupational Safety and Health and the National Program on Occupational Safety and Health of Panama, reaffirming its commitment to the training of highly skilled professionals and its active contribution to strengthening public policies aimed at workplace well-being and the protection of working people.
This important process is led by the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health, with the technical assistance of International Labour Organization (ILO), and its purpose is to develop in a participatory and tripartite manner national instruments that define priorities, objectives, actions, goals and indicators to strengthen occupational safety and health in Panama.
The workshop took place on May 19, 2026, in it Hotel Marriott Panama, Albrook Mall, bringing together various strategic actors committed to building policies that contribute to improving working conditions at the national level.
