Large academic-business meeting in Chitre and Santiago
As part of the continuous improvement of its processes, the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology -UMECIT- headed by the rector, Jose Alberto Nieto Rojas, held numerous and successful meetings with members of the productive business sector of the province of Herrera in Chitre and Veraguas in Santiago, as well as with graduates, whose objective was to identify the demands that the different productive sectors have regarding the training of good professionals and to establish what academic offers should be incorporated into the range of university options.
The events, which were attended by more than 30 senior businessmen and graduates, were accompanied by an important delegation from our House of Studies, headed by the Academic Vice-rector, Mauricio Sierra; the Director of Planning, William Leal and the Director of University Wellness Jannis Briceno.
Meetings like this manage to enrich the academic work of our House of Studies, which give us tools to advance with our mission of providing the country with suitable professionals who meet the needs of our national territory.
