The Association of Private Universities of Panama -AUPPA- chaired by Dr. Ricaurte Martínez, Rector of the Ganexa Art University, opened the Futsal Cup to be held between May and June 2023.
To make the details known, the invited universities met at the UMECIT facilities, where the Rector of our House of Studies, Dr. José Alberto Rojas Nieto Rojas, spoke about the importance of the education-sport key. "This will be a practice that can be extended to the provinces, allowing the entire university community to have a space that encourages sports, promotes inclusion, diversity and equity," said Nieto Rojas.
The Futsal Cup is an initiative that encourages sports practice in the country's university community, promoting values such as inclusion, diversity and equity.
The event brings together students from different universities to compete in exciting and adrenaline-filled matches, demonstrating their skill on the pitch and competing fairly and respectfully.
The competition also encourages fairness between the teams, as everyone has an equal opportunity to compete and win the title of champion. In addition, respect and loyalty on the court are valued, and a fair and safe playing environment is promoted for all participants.
This initiative is an excellent opportunity for universities to promote physical activity and sports in their student community and for students to get to know each other and share their love for sports.
The day was pleasant with exchanges of ideas that make it clear that everyone is working for and for the country's university community.
The representatives of Sports and University Wellness from the following universities participated: UMECIT, Universidad del Arte Ganexa, Universidad EuroAmericana, Universidad del Istmo, ISAE, Universidad Americana, QLU, Universidad Santander and Columbus University.
Each team is made up of college students who compete in exciting, adrenaline-pumping matches. Players demonstrate their skill on the pitch, displaying their futsal skills and competing fairly and respectfully.
