In an outstanding gala night at the University of Panama, the magazines Cathedra, Oratores, Dialogus and Saluta of the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology -UMECIT- received prestigious recognitions from the Latindex Network. This event took place at the VI Scientific Publications Catwalk, organized by the University of Panama as part of the 2024 International Summer School season.
The magazines Cathedra and Oratores were recognized in the Sustainability Category, marking their third year of requalification in the 2.0 catalog of the Latindex Network. Cathedra was applauded for its high number of visits from various countries, while Oratores stood out for volumes with high downloads of queries in 2023.
For its part, Dialogus Magazine was distinguished in the Latindex Catalog 2.0 Indexing Category, with significant consultations since 2017, including countries such as the United States, Russia, China and Mexico. In addition, since 2022, the magazine is published in English. Saluta Magazine was honored in the same category as a biannual publication in the health area, with an impressive database of 8,776 authors and publication in English since 2022.
The magazines Cathedra, Dialogus, Oratores and Saluta received an outstanding distinction under the Improvement Category of the indexing company Panindex.
UMECIT recognizes and congratulates Dr. Magdy De las Salas, editor of the prestigious magazines Dialogus and Oratores. We also extend our congratulations to Dr. Gino Osellame, professor at the Faculty of Law and Forensic Sciences, for his outstanding role as editor of Cathedra Magazine.
A special recognition to Dr. Amelia Sarco for her valuable work at the head of Saluta Magazine, contributing significantly to the field of health. The Rector of the University of Panama, Dr. Eduardo Flores, highlighted the importance of research and expressed his commitment to promoting it. He stressed that the resolution of problems in society comes from serious and judicious investigations.
