Bachelor's degree in General Psychology receives maximum reaccreditation for 6 years

This October 11, 2023, became a day of celebration for our institution. The National Council for University Evaluation and Accreditation -CONEAUPA- under the leadership of Dr. María del Carmen Terrientes de Benavides and with the participation of the Academic Vice Minister of Education, granted Resolution #33, officially reaccrediting our Bachelor's Degree in General Psychology with the highest qualification, which translates into accreditation for 6 additional years.

This achievement reinforces our commitment to quality education in Panama. Dr. José Alberto Nieto Rojas, our rector, stressed the importance of continuous improvement processes and expressed his gratitude to the dedicated reaccreditation team.

Key figures from our institution were present at this outstanding ceremony, including the rector José Alberto Nieto Rojas, the Vice-rector General, Claudia Marcela Rueda Ossa, and other personalities such as Linette Govea, Miriam Aparicio and Alanis Tamayo.

This success inspires us to continue raising our quality standards in higher education. Our next challenges include the accreditation of the Physiotherapy and Occupational Health and Safety programs.

Rector Nieto Rojas pointed out that this reaccreditation is excellent news for our students, graduates and teachers, and a reason for pride for the career coordinations of Panama and La Chorrera for their hard work in obtaining this certification and in general for the entire the community that worked hard to achieve it.

“Our University is committed to good practices and continuous improvement, a commitment that is reflected in obtaining rigorous accreditations. This achievement is a testimony that we are doing things well for the country and complying with the most demanding quality standards,” said the rector.

In times when the role of the Psychology professional is fundamental in clinical care and health promotion, this accreditation takes on special importance. The Bachelor's Degree in General Psychology plays a vital role in the prevention and well-being of the community and society as a whole.

The next challenge, which all the University's professional teams are working on, is to achieve accreditation for the Physiotherapy and Occupational Health and Safety courses.
