Educational innovation arrives in Chiriquí through the use of immersive technologies with EON-XR

Within the framework of strengthening digital transformation processes in higher education, the EON-XR platform has been implemented in the province of Chiriquí, a learning tool based on augmented reality and immersive environments that significantly enriches the educational experience of students.

This initiative responds to the need to integrate innovative methodologies that bring knowledge closer to practical contexts; facilitating active, meaningful learning in accordance with the demands of the current environment; through this technology, students have the opportunity to interact with three-dimensional content, simulations and virtual scenarios that enhance the understanding and application of the knowledge acquired in the classroom.

In this context, students of the Occupational Health and Safety program, under the direction of Professor Virginia Quintero, have developed training experiences focused on simulating work environments; strengthening skills related to risk prevention, decision-making, and the application of safety protocols in real situations.

Similarly, students in the Banking and Finance program, under the direction of Professor Juan Guerra, have incorporated the use of immersive technological tools for the analysis of financial scenarios; promoting a more dynamic, visual and interactive understanding of economic and financial processes.

The implementation of EON-XR reaffirms the institutional commitment to educational innovation, the incorporation of emerging technologies, and the training of highly competent professionals; capable of operating in digital environments and responding to the challenges of contemporary society.

In this way, the university continues to position itself as a benchmark in the region; promoting a quality education that integrates technology, pedagogy and innovation in service of learning.
