Great balance of the UMECIT-USTA agreement
In the development of the UMECIT-USTA agreement this year-end, the visit of the dean of the Faculty of Physical Culture of the Universidad Santo Tomás de Colombia, Bucaramanga section, Luis Gabriel Rangel, was carried out to carry out several activities aimed at reviewing the progress outlined within the framework of the agreement.
Thus, involving the substantive function as an important chapter within the process of academic management and management of scientific research where, articulated with the Faculty of Health Sciences and Humanities, data collection was carried out at the Fundadores, David, IBI, professional soccer team – prom, quarry and university athletes.
These meetings were held with teachers, students and the Academic Coordination, among others, for the progress of health research, within the framework of the XIV edition of the Student Research Conference, a space that shows the activities carried out from the classroom for the development of skills and the promotion of the research culture and where continuity was given with the collection of data from the UMECIT – USTA research project that gathers information on the lifestyle of teachers and administrators.
In the study, new research assistants for the Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy were trained under the direction of Lourdes Iribarren, Coordinator of the Faculty of Health.
Likewise, a visit was carried out to the Province of Chiriquí where the evaluation day of students, teachers and administrators was held at the UMECIT David Headquarters, with a magnificent result regarding the excellent work of the entire USTA – UMECIT team.
During the visit of Luis Gabriel Rangel, several sessions were also held to collect information from the UMECIT – USTA research projects, where adolescent soccer players, professional soccer players, university athletes, soccer players from the UMECIT FC Under 16 National Team and the members of the UMECIT Flag Football Team, as well as teachers and administrators at the main headquarters, IBI, Future Promises field and the Emilio Royo stadium
Finally, an accountability report within the framework of international mobility to UMECIT-USTA was released to the Research Directorate, explaining the current status of the 4 projects that are developed together.
