UMECIT commemorated the Early Childhood Educator's Day with an academic, recreational and social engagement day that highlighted the fundamental role of Early Childhood Education teachers in the comprehensive development of Panamanian children.

The activity brought together students, teachers and collaborators from the Panama, Panama East and La Chorrera campuses, who, through collaborative work, developed pedagogical experiences aimed at strengthening the professional skills of future graduates in Preschool Education and generating a positive impact on the community.

The children of [the school] participated as special guests. Children's Ministry of El Renuevo Temple, Children from the Caimitillo Community Board enjoyed an educational and recreational day designed by students of the Bachelor's Degree in Preschool Education. Through play-based activities, the children strengthened their cognitive, motor, communicative, and socio-emotional skills in a dynamic and participatory learning environment.

One of the highlights was the presentation of themed booths inspired by the World Cup, designed with a strong pedagogical approach to promote learning through play. The activities developed stimulated fine and gross motor skills, coordination, creativity, communication, and teamwork, demonstrating the future educators' ability to design innovative teaching strategies.

The event also included the participation of Ministry of Environment, Representatives of the organization promoted environmental education through a costume contest using recycled materials. This initiative instilled values related to sustainability, recycling, and environmental stewardship in participants from early childhood.

Beyond the celebration, this activity integrated teaching, practical experience, and community engagement, reaffirming UMECIT's commitment to a humanistic, innovative, and socially responsible education. At the same time, it provided students with the opportunity to apply the knowledge acquired in the classroom to real-world learning scenarios.

The Faculty of Humanities, responsible for the event, thanks the students, teachers, collaborators and participating institutions for their commitment, whose enthusiasm made possible a day that strengthened the training of future education professionals and reaffirmed the institutional mission of contributing to the development of quality early childhood education for Panama.
