Students strengthen their training with a technical visit to the Fourth Bridge project

As a fundamental part of the Industrial Hygiene course, the students of the seventh semester of the La Chorrera group made a technical visit to the facilities of the Fourth Bridge over the Panama Canal, one of the most important infrastructure works in the country.

During the day, the students received master teaching from hygiene specialists from the project, who shared their experience in the implementation of controls in large-scale works, addressing key aspects related to occupational health and safety.

This direct interaction allowed participants not only to strengthen their mastery of technical instrumentation, but also to acquire high-level professional criteria on risk management in highly complex work environments.

The tour, led by Professor Tel-Aviv, had as its main objective the execution of field measurements using specialized industrial hygiene equipment, aimed at the assessment of environmental and occupational risks in real work environments.

With this type of initiative, UMECIT reaffirms its commitment to practical training, meaningful learning and the comprehensive preparation of its students, aligned with the demands of the productive sector.
