Youths strengthen His professional skills were honed while working with renowned cinematographer Alvis Gonzalez and his team, using high-level cinematographic equipment to create a short film.

As part of the Lighting Techniques course taught by Professor Guillermo Jiménez, UMECIT students participated in a training experience that integrated academic knowledge with the demands of the professional audiovisual environment. The day featured the special participation of renowned cinematographer Alvis González and his technical team, professionals with experience in audiovisual productions for prominent national and international artists, including Sech and El Boza.

For three weeks, the students had the opportunity to work with film-standard equipment, including Sony cameras, cinema lenses, professional lighting systems, and precision light meters. Through this hands-on approach, they applied knowledge related to exposure, color temperature, and lighting design, while taking on different roles on a film set, from directing and camera operation to lighting assistance.

As part of the process, the students developed an original screenplay that will serve as the basis for the production of a two-minute short film with cinematic standards. This experience aims to strengthen their technical and creative skills and, in turn, generate a production that can showcase the audiovisual talent developed at UMECIT in national and international film festivals and events.
