Psychology students go on academic tour
The academic tour to the Insam Institute of Mental Health was organized with the aim of providing General Psychology students with a practical experience that would allow them to see first-hand the operation and activities carried out in this important mental health center.
During the visit, the students had the opportunity to tour the Institute's facilities, meet the mental health professionals who work there, and learn about the different techniques and therapeutic approaches used to treat mental and emotional disorders.
In addition, the teacher Jill Manuel guided the students in a critical reflection about the importance of mental health and its impact on people's quality of life. Issues related to the prevention of mental disorders and the role that psychology professionals can play in promoting mental health were also discussed.
