As part of the activities aimed at strengthening academic and professional training, students of the Bachelor's Degree in Social Communication, Journalism and Digital Media participated in an academic tour to the facilities of MEDCOM, where they had the opportunity to learn firsthand about the internal workings of one of the most important media groups in the country.
During the visit, the students were able to observe the behind-the-scenes work, including how news is managed and gathered for broadcast. This experience allowed them to understand, from a practical perspective, the processes involved in the production and dissemination of news content.
The participants also engaged in valuable exchanges with renowned professionals in journalism and television, including Delia Muñoz, Hugo Famanía, David Samudio, and Dorcas de la Rosa, who shared aspects of their careers and experience in the media. Similarly, in-house producers demonstrated key aspects of the workflow and operational management of the various news programs.
This exposure to the real-world media environment represents a significant contribution to the training of future communicators, allowing them to connect classroom knowledge with professional practice. The university extends its sincere gratitude to MEDCOM for always welcoming our students and for the warm reception they received during this enriching experience.
