Within the framework of the 3rd UMECIT Health Sciences Symposium, our research professors from the Occupational Health and Industrial Safety program presented their innovative research. With a solid commitment to comprehensive training, they disclosed significant advances that will enrich the knowledge of future graduates in occupational health and industrial safety.
The event began with a presentation by Mgtr. José Iván Rodríguez on "Drones in Action: Revolutionizing occupational risk prevention." For their part, the UMECIT teachers who participated included Reynaldo Mela -Chitré Headquarters-, Koritza Ortega -La Chorrera Headquarters-, Virgina Quintero -David Headquarters-, Yesenia Flores -Panama Headquarters-, Yamileth Jiménez -Santiago Headquarters- and Ezequiel Garibaldi - Panama Headquarters-.
The topics addressed were: Occupational risks in Occupational Health and Safety conditions at UMECIT Chitré Headquarters; Prevention of musculoskeletal injuries in construction workers; Ergonomics in loading and unloading processes; Prevention of injuries to the muscles of the upper limb in musicians of the Music and Art Foundation of Panama; Accident rates in the area of construction and Action of Occupational Safety and Health in the face of pathologies and myalgias of the spine in the musicians of the Music and Art Foundation of Panama.
