A free experience to learn traditional techniques and strengthen the bond with Panamanian art, folklore and cultural identity.

Are you passionate about the art, culture, and traditions of our country? The Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology -UMECIT-, Chitré Campus, invites university students from all majors to participate in the course “Making Traditional Masks,” an initiative that seeks to bring the university community closer to the artistic and cultural expressions that are part of our identity.

During the course, participants will have the opportunity to learn traditional techniques of designing, molding and painting typical masks, developing creative skills while learning about and appreciating representative elements of Panamanian folklore.

More than an artistic activity, this experience seeks to create a space to rescue, preserve and live our traditions from the university, strengthening the sense of identity and cultural belonging.
