Within the framework of the academic collaboration agreement signed between the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology -UMECIT- and the Santo Tomás University (USTA), a distinguished academic day was developed under the mirror class modality, aimed at strengthening the processes of curricular internationalization and the exchange of knowledge between higher education institutions.
The activity took place in the Exercise Physiology department and its central purpose was to promote a comprehensive understanding of the structural and functional integration of human movement, establishing relationships between anatomical planes and axes and the physiological responses derived from physical exercise. This interdisciplinary approach allowed students to consolidate significant learning from a comparative and collaborative perspective.
The session was led by Dr. Ricci Dubois, representing UMECIT, and Jenifer Rincón, representing USTA, who highlighted the relevance of these academic spaces as scenarios that enhance scientific dialogue, inter-institutional cooperation, and the comprehensive training of students in global contexts.
The mirror class was held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, bringing together students and teachers from both institutions in a virtual environment that promoted the joint construction of knowledge.
With these types of initiatives, UMECIT and USTA reaffirm their commitment to academic excellence, pedagogical innovation, and the strengthening of international networks that enrich professional training.
