Dear students who completed their degree or program at the different levels of academic training (undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate), as established in the contents, procedures and regulations that converge from these, both internal and external, below you will find the precise guidelines on The Degree Application and Graduation Process:
Start date for filling out the degree application on the Cibërsity platform : December 27, 2024
Closing date for completing the degree application from the Cibërsity platform: January 29, 2025
Academic verification: From December 27, 2024 to February 3, 2025.
Deadline for closing the minutes: February 14, 2025. Closing of approval as a graduate.
Date of graduation: February 26, 2025.
Start date for filling out the degree application on the Cibërsity platform : January 31, 2025
Closing date for completing the degree application from the Cibërsity platform: March 11, 2025
Academic verification: From January 31 to March 26, 2025.
Deadline for closing the minutes: April 24, 2025. Closing of approval as a graduate.
Date of graduation: May 30, 2025.

Diploma delivery: Diploma delivery at the counter. (Date to be determined)
Once the electronic form is filled out, you must be aware of the notifications on the platform:
- Degree applicant: Document under review.
- Rectification Request: The student must provide evidence of the points described in the form, within a stipulated time.
- Denial of degree application: You will be notified of the reasons why you will not be able to participate on the designated graduation date, and you will have to wait for a new graduation date and contribute any pending work that was not considered in the current grades.
- Application approved: Notification certifying that the applicant will become a graduate, that he/she meets all the requirements established for the degree for which he/she applied, and in turn informing him/her that he/she is on the graduation list.
When the General Secretariat has finished signing the Notification of Approval to the graduates,
The closing of the minutes is carried out, where an official list of graduates is drawn up.
After these steps
the signing of official documents by the authorized Academic Authorities begins.
The delivery of physical titles will be carried out according to the dates and modalities (window or graduation ceremony)
which will be communicated in due time. For our graduates from abroad, the University will arrange for the degree to be sent to their country of origin once the corresponding internal and governmental procedures have been completed.
Graduates who wish to participate in a ceremonial act,
must be attentive to the notification of approval on the platform (link to enter the form) and fill out the registration; since this maintains a closing date.

NOTE: The degree application must be completed individually, for each academic degree completed and passed.
Example: Fill out an application for Title #1: Technician/specialization Fill out another application for Title # 2: Bachelor's/master's degree
How to participate to obtain the title?
Students interested in participating in the graduation ceremony must verify in advance, through the coordination/direction and the Cibersity Platform, compliance with all academic requirements established for obtaining the corresponding degree, which include the criteria for entry, permanence and graduation of the program or career, such as:
Having completed and passed the study plan (subjects and grades)
with the corresponding academic average, the graduation requirements stipulated in the academic program (professional practice, report, defense thereof) and degree requirements (thesis, specialty subjects, knowledge exam, seminar or diplomas, among others).
Having prepared, supported and submitted degree work (thesis) or practice reports to the library,
complying with the delivery and regulatory provisions relevant to the departments related to the process.

with the expenses incurred by the course or program taken and the graduation fees, rectified by the portfolio department or the relevant authority at the time.
Once compliance with all academic requirements has been verified
The student may proceed to fill out the degree application available on the Cibersity electronic platform. You must select the degree you wish to apply for and complete all sections of the form thoroughly, including personal and academic details and attaching the required documentation. If you encounter any difficulty in accessing or completing the application, it is recommended that you immediately notify the academic coordinator or the technical team.
NOTE: The degree application must be completed individually, for each academic degree completed and passed.

Important
The responsibility for keeping academic information up to date falls on the student. Therefore, he/she must constantly check the platform and report any anomalies found to the email address academica@umecit.edu.pa.
The application for a degree initiates a thorough review process of your academic record. To be considered a graduate, you must meet all the requirements established by your program and the institution. Completing the application for a degree does not guarantee your status as a graduate, and if you complete an application without meeting the requirements, the university will cancel the application for a degree.
The dates of the graduation ceremony and awarding of degrees are subject to change, which will be communicated in due course.
The student assumes full responsibility for the veracity and legality of the documentation presented in accordance with the requirements of the university. (Student Regulations D-03, Art. 47, literal k).
If you have modified your identity document since your initial registration, it is essential that you notify this change to the Coordination or the Academic Registration Department (asistente.registro@umecit.edu.pa). This update is essential so that your personal data is correctly registered at the time of issuing your professional degree.
The Registration and Control Department will examine the applicants' files, following a strict order of reception and verifying compliance with all the requirements established in the content of the program or degree and the institutional regulations. Those files that present complete and up-to-date documentation will be given priority.
It is an essential requirement for applicants to fully review the degree application guide, a document that has been shared by the academic coordinators and can be consulted on the university's website.
According to the resolution of the University Council, graduates who do not collect their degrees at the counter or do not participate in the graduation ceremony on the dates announced by the institution will be subject to paying a penalty for late withdrawal.
Upon receipt of official documents, graduates are asked to verify the concordance between the academic and personal data recorded and the information on their identity document or passport. If any discrepancy is detected, they must immediately notify the Registration and Control Department. A period of 15 business days is established, starting from the receipt of the documents, to carry out this procedure without incurring any costs.
