8 out of 10 Panamanians consider that digital platforms offer more possibilities of getting a job

Panama, March 2024.- According to Konzerta's study Digital Recruitment and Application 2024, 81% of talents in Panama believe that digital platforms offer more possibilities of getting a job, compared to 19% who do not believe this. Furthermore, 6 out of 10 people prefer the selection process to be digital, while 33% is inclined to do it in person.

These results are the prelude to the job fair that will offer Panamanians more than 4,500 vacancies: Expo Konzerta Online 2024. This year it launches a new digital format and will be available on Konzerta.com, expanding its reach to the entire national territory so that People looking for job opportunities can apply from anywhere in the country.

“The data from the study show us that, when looking for a job, Portals like Konzerta are the most chosen by Panamanian talents: 94% selects them. Additionally, 8 out of 10 have indicated that these platforms provide greater job opportunities. For this reason, we developed the Expo Konzerta Online 2024 with disruptive technology that allows us to bring the best opportunities to each person looking for work in Panama. The synergy between our IT and HR knowledge allows us once again to provide an excellent service so that more than 4,500 talents can find that job they long for,” explained Jeff Morales, Marketing Manager at Konzerta.

The trend is repeated throughout the region. Panama (94%) and Chile (93%) top the ranking of countries where talent chooses job search web portals over other methods. They are followed by Argentina with 92%, Ecuador with another 92% and Peru with 91%.

But how often do talents apply on job search portals? The 30% of Panamanian talents ensures that they apply on portals every day, 17% indicates that several times a month, 14% does it whenever he sees a post that interests him and 13% does it when he is actively searching.

And how often do Panamanian talents update their profile and digital CV?

According to the 39% of Panamanian talents, they update their profile and CV when they are in an active job search, while the 23% does it when they have an important update such as the completion of courses, studies or a promotion, the 18% does it once per month, one 7% does it every day, another 7% once a week and the 6% indicates doing it several times a month.

And how simple is the application process on digital platforms compared to traditional methods? For 65% the application process on digital platforms is much simpler, 23% indicates that it is just as simple and 12% mentioned that it is more complicated for them to do so on digital platforms. At the regional level the trend continues: Peru (71%), Chile (69%), Ecuador (67%), and Argentina (64%) indicated that it is much easier to apply for a job on digital platforms.

What do talents think the recruiting process will be like in 5 years?

Regarding how they consider the recruitment process will be in the future, the 49% of the talents affirms that this process will be completely digitalized, a 22% assures that there will be more use of AI, the 17% believes that it will remain the same as now and a 12% believes that more emphasis will be placed on providing a personalized recruiting experience.

MMore than 4,500 seats will be offered by Expo Konzerta Online 2024

Expo Konzerta Online 2024 will take place from March 18 to 24. It has the participation of more than 80 national and multinational companies that will be looking for the best talents in Panama to fill more than 4,500 available vacancies.

Konzerta developed a new digital format with disruptive technology and its specialized knowledge in HR to facilitate the talent application and selection process that allows working people and organizations to connect with just one click.

Once the resume is uploaded to Konzerta.com, participating talents will be able to leave their resume at the virtual stand of each of the companies at any time during the week of this job fair. The Human Resources teams will then analyze the profiles to find those who meet the requirements of each vacancy, and they will be contacted to continue advancing in the recruitment process.

Expo Konzerta Online 2024 has opportunities for profiles from all areas, both administrative, operational, commercial and technology. Among the companies that will be looking for talents are: +Móvil, Grupo Melo, Alórica, Carbone, Grupo Rey, Cinépolis, Banco General, Feduro, P&G, PepsiCo, Huawei, McDonald's, Adidas, Zara and the entire Trade Alliance Corporation group, Grainger, Megapolis World, Medipan, Cervecería Nacional, Ricardo Pérez, among others.

It is very important to have an updated resume or CV. “The only requirement to participate is to have an up-to-date resume on Konzerta.com because it will be the application route,

thus allowing recruiters from participating companies to have quick access to professional profiles and analyze them by skills, studies, work experience, or other data relevant to the hiring process,” Morales explained.

4,519 talents from the region participated in the 2024 Digital Recruitment and Application Study: 1,136 from Argentina, 760 from Chile, 1,298 from Ecuador, 893 from Panama and 432 from Peru. The study explores what the application process is like for people who are looking for a job.
