XXVI Kite and Tambourine Festival of APROCHIPA

UMECIT La Chorrera campus had a prominent participation in the XXVI Kite and Tambourine Festival organized by APROCHIPA, reaffirming its commitment to social outreach and the strengthening of student volunteerism.

This important event aimed to foster family and social unity, promote cultural exchange between Panama and China, revive traditions such as kite making and flying, raise funds for social projects, and stimulate art and creativity through various competitions.

During the event, volunteers performed key roles in areas such as logistical support, participant assistance, organization of recreational activities, and guidance for the attending public, contributing to the successful development of the activity.

Participation in these types of initiatives strengthens fundamental values such as social responsibility, teamwork, empathy, and community engagement. It also allows students to apply their knowledge in real-world contexts, developing practical skills and a greater awareness of societal needs.

With these actions, UMECIT continues to promote a comprehensive education that fosters not only professional development, but also the development of citizens committed to social well-being.

The University's participation was carried out through the "Hands that Transform" program.
