The Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology (UMECIT) and the Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences of the Republic of Panama have signed a framework agreement for institutional cooperation that aims to establish the bases for technical, scientific and cultural collaboration between both entities. This agreement seeks to strengthen areas of mutual interest and promote the development of joint programs that benefit both the academic community and society in general.

The agreement is based on professional training, the development of professional practices, the promotion of joint research programs, academic and cultural exchange, among other activities that will strengthen institutional relations and contribute to the progress of education and science in Panama.
This agreement opens up new opportunities for UMECIT students and professionals, who will be able to access more comprehensive training in the field of legal medicine and forensic sciences, and will actively participate in research programs and professional internships in conjunction with the Institute of Legal Medicine.
UMECIT reaffirms its commitment to academic excellence and inter-institutional collaboration, with the aim of continuing to contribute to the development of society and the well-being of the Panamanian community.
