On September 15, the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology (UMECIT) and the National Commission for the Study and Prevention of Drug-Related Crimes (CONAPRED) signed an agreement Framework Agreement for Cooperation, in an official ceremony held at the facilities of the Public Ministry.
The purpose of this agreement is to establish the basis for technical, scientific and cultural cooperation between both institutions in areas such as:
Representing UMECIT, the Rector participated in the signing, Dr. Jose Alberto Nieto Rojas; the Dr. Rosa Castañeda, Legal and Academic Advisor; Dr. Gressy Zúñiga, Director of Accreditation; and the Master Andrea Pinzón, Coordinator of Agreements and Internationalization.
With this alliance, UMECIT and CONAPRED reaffirm their commitment to comprehensive training, applied research, and the strengthening of preventive policies against drug-related crimes., jointly contributing to the social well-being and sustainable development of Panama.
