UMECIT promotes entrepreneurial spirit with training for entrepreneurs in Chiriquí

On September 18 and 19, the UMECIT Extension Department held an important training session for 16 entrepreneurs registered in our database of UMECIT entrepreneurs, from the David, Chiriquí headquarters. These sessions, entitled “The step-by-step process of an entrepreneur” and “Entrepreneurs activated with you,” were aimed at enhancing the skills of the participants, providing them with essential knowledge for the development of their projects and strengthening their entrepreneurial spirit.

During the two days of training, key topics were addressed including strategic planning, financial management, innovation in business models and digital tools for business growth. Participants had the opportunity to interact with entrepreneurship experts, share experiences and receive personalized advice to face the challenges of today's market.

This activity is part of the program “The Entrepreneurial Spirit of UMECIT,” an initiative that seeks to promote the culture of entrepreneurship in our community, encouraging our students, graduates and local entrepreneurs to create, innovate and lead projects that generate a positive impact in the region. The university is committed to continue providing support and guidance to entrepreneurs, facilitating learning spaces and contact networks that allow them to scale their business ideas.

We would like to express our special thanks to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Panama, our strategic ally, for its constant support and coordinated work in this important task. Thanks to their collaboration, we have been able to consolidate a stronger and more active network of entrepreneurs, contributing to the socioeconomic development of the region and the creation of new business opportunities.

At UMECIT, we firmly believe in the transformative power of entrepreneurship and will continue to promote initiatives that foster growth and innovation, reaffirming our commitment to the comprehensive development of our students and the community in general.
