UMECIT submits Self-Evaluation Report to CONEAUPA

The Rector of the Universidad Metropolitana de Educación, Ciencia y Tecnología - UMECIT-,Dr. José Alberto Nieto Rojas submitted the Self-Evaluation Report to CONEAUPA, last Friday, August 19, 2022.

This event is the continuation of the external evaluation phase of the institutional reaccreditation process that began in August 2021. 

The institutional accreditation renewal process is the guarantee of verification by academic peers of the quality of an institution's programs, its organization, operation and the fulfillment of its social work.

The fundamental benefits of the reaccreditation process, among many others, are: "to ensure the level of quality of education in a country, guarantee access to vulnerable populations, equity and development of the continent.

At the delivery of the accreditation report, the Rector of our House of Studies was accompanied by the Administrative Vice Rector, María Piedad Nieto Rojas; the Academic Vice Rector, Hermes Mauricio Sierra; the Director of Accreditation, Gressy Zuñiga; the Director of Quality, Boris Castillo and the Legal Advisor, Rosa Idalí Castañeda.

The report was received by Dr. María del Carmen Terrientes de Benavides, Executive Secretary of CONEAUPA and Dr. Rebeca de Melgar, Deputy Secretary.
