Promoting Educational Inclusion: Event “Inclusion: Power of Diversity united in our classrooms”

The Council of Rectors of Panama and the Network of Inclusive Universities of Panama (REUNIPA) carried out this important event called: "Inclusion: Power of Diversity united in our classrooms", a transcendental initiative whose central purpose was to promote the importance of educational inclusion in the academic field.

In a world characterized by its constantly evolving diversity, the need to reflect and celebrate this multiplicity in our classrooms has become imperative. Inclusion in education transcends mere equality of access; It is about establishing an environment where each student feels valued, respected and supported in their academic and personal development.

Throughout this event, which took place from July 31 to August 4, 2023, a series of activities were carried out in the form of conferences, workshops and round tables, which explored various aspects of inclusion in education. . Both national and international experts shared their valuable knowledge and experiences, offering practical tools and strategies to promote inclusion in our educational institutions.

The topics addressed cover a wide range of areas, such as accessibility in Panamanian universities, the application of assistive technologies, human rights and the presentation of successful examples of educational inclusion at the national and international level.

This event brought together rectors, directors, teachers, researchers, students and professionals in the educational field, all united by a common interest: promoting inclusion in their respective institutions. 

In an increasingly diverse world, the need to reflect and celebrate this diversity in our classrooms is crucial.
