Academic internship in Colón: an enriching learning experience for our students

As part of the Administration subject, students of the Bachelor's Degrees in Maritime and Port Administration, Accounting, and Banking and Finance at the La Chorrera Campus recently participated in an academic internship in the province of Colón. This activity offered a valuable practical learning opportunity and contributed to the fulfillment of the educational objectives of our careers.

During the practice, the students visited two key places in the province:

  • The Agua Clara locks of the Panama Canal: Here, students were able to observe first-hand the operation of one of the most important engineering works in the world. This visit allowed the students to better understand logistics and port administration, fundamental aspects for their professional training.
  • The Colón 2000 shopping center: a strategic point of commerce and tourism. The students had the opportunity to analyze the commercial and financial management of an important business and tourism center, thus better understanding the dynamics of trade and the economic impact on the region.

This enriching experience allowed students to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired in class to real situations, thus strengthening their academic and professional preparation.

We thank all the students for their enthusiasm and dedication, and the teachers for their commitment in organizing this academic practice.

We look forward to continuing to offer such enriching educational experiences in the future!
