Inclusion: Power of diversity united in our classrooms.

Promoting educational inclusion in Panama

The Council of Rectors of Panama and the Network of Inclusive Universities of Panama (Red de Universidades Inclusivas de Panamá -REUNIPA- are pleased to announce the event Inclusion: Power of diversity united in our classrooms. This initiative, which will take place from July 31 to August 04, 2023, has as its main objective to promote the importance of educational inclusion in the academic environment.

In an increasingly diverse world, it is crucial that our classrooms reflect and celebrate this diversity. Inclusion in education is not only about ensuring equal access to education, but also about creating an environment in which all students feel valued, respected and supported in their academic and personal development.

During this event, a series of activities will take place in the form of conferences, workshops and round tables, which will address different aspects of inclusion in education. We will count with the participation of national and international experts, who will share their knowledge and experiences, providing tools and practical strategies to promote inclusion in our classrooms.

Among the topics to be discussed are accessibility in Panama's universities, assistive technologies, human rights, discussions and successful experiences of educational inclusion at the national and international level.

The event  Inclusion: Power of diversity united in our classrooms, will be attended by rectors, principals, teachers, researchers, students and professionals from the educational field who are interested in promoting inclusion in their institutions.

We extend an invitation to all educational institutions, government agencies, civil society organizations and the general public to join this important initiative in favor of educational inclusion. Together, we can build inclusive educational environments and empower all students to reach their full potential.
