Multitudinous X Health Fair 2022
The X Health Fair 2022 was very well received, where more than 2,000 attendees, including students, teachers, collaborators and the community in general, came to the campus of the International Bilingual Institute - IBI- to enjoy a day of entertainment with games, raffles , cultural and inclusive presentations, sports, health services and gastronomic delights, among others.
The Fair began with the 2.5K race, in which more than 80 runners participated, who, very early, arrived with all the energy, to start the day with this sporting activity, which had awards in three categories, youth, general And older.
While the inauguration of the event was in charge of the rector, José Alberto Nieto Rojas and the General Vice-rector, Claudia Marcela Rueda Ossa, who thanked the attendees for accepting this invitation, which has a social meaning, as it is to collect funds to donate to the Pink Warriors Dragon Boat team, made up of female cancer survivors in Panama.
Event attendees were also able to visit 87 different stands, staffed by enthusiastic young people who enthusiastically offered information, articles and services to the community.
The team that could not be missing was the reaccreditation team of the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology - UMECIT - who took advantage of the event to carry out the closure of the socialization and validation of results, of the institutional self-assessment for the reaccreditation. This closing occurs after having visited all the interior venues carrying out this work.
Among the presentations that received the most applause was that of the Grupo Centinela Foundation, made up of special people with motor disabilities, Down syndrome and mental retardation.
Likewise, the self-defense group called Defensa y Box with its Israeli technique Krav Maga, joined the youth of the Sentinel Foundation to train them in self-defense.
Different exhibitors showed their products, among them: Colorhouse, Virtual Lions Club in Values; Ministry of Health; Acropolis; Panamanian Institute of special skills; National Police and Umecista entrepreneurs and special guests like Mr. Luis Ortiz from Hecho a Ciegas with his beautiful crafts.
The UMECIT FC team participated wearing the First Place Cup of the Liga Prom opening tournament.
Various health stands took the blood pressure, weight and measurement of the attendees to assess their physical condition; among many others.
Soccer and flag soccer sports activities, carried out sports matches made up of teams from the Panama City Hall, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Serviestiba and the Panama Soccer Players Association.
The beautiful members of the Emberá Wounaan Comarca also delighted the attendees with their typical regional dances.
