Umecit – University in Panama

UMECIT participated in a workshop on mental health and inclusion at Santo Tomás Hospital.

As part of the 2025 institutional activities, the National Secretariat for Disability (SENADIS) and Santo Tomás Hospital invited the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology (UMECIT) to participate in a conference dedicated to Mental Health and Disability, thanks to the efforts of Master's degree holder Néstor Aguilar, a graduate of UMECIT's Psychology program.

During the event, Psychology students Ana Delgado and Joseline Mojica participated as speakers, sharing reflections on the importance of mental health for people with disabilities, promoting awareness, empathy, and inclusion.

Likewise, other UMECIT graduates, including Guillermo Ávila, participated in this valuable event, reaffirming our university community's commitment to well-being, comprehensive education, and social responsibility.
