As part of International Earth Day, students from UMECIT David, members of the "Hands that Transform" volunteer group, participated in a recycling day organized by the Government of the province of Chiriquí.
The activity included the participation of students from the Social Work and Human Development programs, as well as Medical Records and Health Statistics, who were accompanied by teachers and administrative staff.
As a result of the day, various recyclable materials were collected, including plastic, cardboard, glass and tetrapak containers, contributing significantly to the proper management of solid waste.
This initiative brought together public institutions, private companies, universities and members of civil society, strengthening collaborative work in favor of the environment.
At UMECIT, we reaffirm our commitment to environmental sustainability and active participation in actions that positively impact our communities.
