Internationalization of formative research: UMECIT shines at the International Congress of Research Seedbeds in Medellin, Colombia

The internationalization of formative research is a fact at UMECIT. From August 15 to 18, 2024, our University had an outstanding participation in the International Congress of Research Seedbeds, held in the city of Medellín, Colombia.

This important event for scientific dissemination, which brings together emerging researchers from research groups throughout Latin America, gave our students the opportunity to share the results of their scientific studies. These works were carried out with the advice of professors and leaders of the groups from various faculties and UMECIT campuses.

The projects that represented our university at this congress were:

  • Rubén Aristóteles Amores, Bachelor of Law and Political Science: «ACODECO. Protection of the Rights to Free Competition»
  • Maria de los Angeles Ramirez, Bachelor of Law and Political Science: «Errors in the collection of evidence in the chain of custody»
  • Geraldine Lisseth Pinto, Lic. in General Psychology: «Relationship between Parenting Styles and the Development of Values in Latin American Children and Youth at Social Risk»
  • Madiliz Yosabeth Campos, Lic. in Occupational Health and Safety: «Importance of Blood Tests for Drug Detection in Workers: A Crucial Approach to Occupational Safety»

  • Keyla Reyes, Bachelor of Criminalistics and Forensic Sciences: «Between the Shadows of Crime: A Deep Journey into the Underworld of Organized Crime in Panama»

UMECIT's participation in this Congress reaffirms our commitment to high-level research and academic training, promoting international collaboration and the development of knowledge that positively impacts our communities.
