Last Saturday, the Santiago Headquarters of UMECIT was the center of a successful Recycling Day, organized by the Extension Coordination together with the students of the Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Administration and the teacher Alexis Gómez. This significant initiative had the valuable support of the Ambissa Panama Organization, consolidating efforts to promote environmental awareness in our community.
During the day, various recyclable materials were received, including cardboard, cans, glass containers, plastic and paper, collected by both the students of the Santiago Campus and by members of the community, who actively participated by taking their materials to the collection center. . The collaboration and enthusiasm demonstrated by all participants were key to the success of the activity.
Teacher Alexis Gómez, together with the students, played a fundamental role in the organization and execution of the day, demonstrating a solid commitment to environmental education and sustainability. The alliance with Ambissa Panama made it possible to efficiently manage the collected materials, ensuring that they are recycled appropriately and thus contributing to the reduction of waste in the environment.
