As part of our commitment to internationalization and the comprehensive training of our students, the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology - UMECIT - is proud to announce the arrival of Mónica Londoño, a Business Administration student from the Medellín campus of the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia (UCC).
Mónica will study for a semester at the Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences at UMECIT, thanks to an active academic exchange agreement between both institutions. This program not only consolidates the academic collaboration between UMECIT and UCC, but also promotes a valuable exchange of knowledge, cultures and experiences that enrich students and university communities.
Master Andrea Pinzón Castañeda, Coordinator of Agreements and Internationalization at UMECIT, was in charge of welcoming Mónica with a guided tour of the different buildings and spaces of our University. During the tour, Mónica had the opportunity to see the facilities, interact with the administrative staff and be introduced to the board of directors, including the rector and vice-rectors. This gesture seeks to ensure that the student feels welcome and fully integrated into our university community.
“Academic exchange is a key tool to strengthen students’ professional capabilities, foster intercultural understanding and build international collaboration networks,” said Master Pinzón Castañeda. These opportunities reaffirm UMECIT’s leadership in quality education with a global perspective.
From UMECIT, we extend a warm welcome to Mónica Londoño and wish her a semester full of learning, personal growth and enriching experiences. We are sure that her presence will contribute significantly to the construction of a more diverse and globally connected university community.
