The 2025 Health Fair in Chitré benefited the Herrera Children's Down Syndrome Foundation.

On Saturday, August 30, the UMECIT headquarters in Chitré held the Health Fair 2025 for the benefit of the Herrera Down syndrome children's foundation, an organization dedicated to the comprehensive care of young people with disabilities.

The day began with a 5-kilometer walk through the main streets of the district, culminating in Herrera Park with a community fair in which they participated AMPIME entrepreneurs, entrepreneurial students, and the Ministry of Health, which provided vaccination and medical care. Likewise, the National Bank offered the database for future job opportunities.

This space for social connection not only highlighted the solidarity of the academic community, but also brought together key players like the lord Elías Corro Cano, Governor of the province; he Honorable Representative of the San Juan Bautista district, Carlos Rodríguez; the Dr. Malena Ríos, Alternate Deputy of Circuit 6-1, along with other representatives of government institutions and civil society.

We thank all those who made this initiative possible, demonstrating that The union of efforts multiplies the impact on the community.
