Umecit – University in Panama

UMECIT students participate in ExpoInvestigación 2025 with projects of high social and academic impact.

At ExpoInvestigación 2025, held in Panama City, students from the research centers of the bachelor's degrees in Radiology, Criminology, Social Work, and General Psychology from the Panama and La Chorrera campuses proudly represented the Metropolitan University of Education, Science, and Technology (UMECIT), sharing the progress of their scientific projects developed with their mentors.

During the event, research was shared on topics of great social and academic relevance, such as dual pathology, the evaluation of forensic evidence, ADHD in children, postpartum depression, environmental awareness in families, the Civil Procedure Code, and the resocialization of prisoners.

These scientific outreach spaces strengthen our students' research skills, allowing them to apply critical thinking, rigorous analysis, and innovation to their areas of study.

The UMECIT research centers are consolidating as a true laboratory of ideas and experiences, where young people prepare for a professional career in which science and knowledge are tools of transformation.

We congratulate our young researchers and their mentors for continuing to demonstrate that research is the path to transformation!
