General Psychology students finish their courses with a guided tour of the Old Town

The past December 12th, the students of General psychology, from groups AA 2023 N and AB 2024 D, together with Professor José Luis Prieto, carried out a closing activity for the subjects of Sociology and Anthropology.

The activity aimed to foster a critical understanding of the relationship between Cultural heritage and society, promoting the development of skills Sociocultural observation and analysis. In addition, he sought to have students integrate the theoretical concepts of both disciplines in a practical context, reflecting on the importance of heritage in the construction of collective identity.

The tour included a Guided tour of the main sites of the Old Town, such as temples, museums and churches. During the tour, students received relevant historical and cultural information, allowing them to enrich their perspective and appreciate the value of heritage from a sociological and anthropological approach.

With activities like this, UMECIT reaffirms its commitment to the comprehensive education of its students, promoting meaningful learning that transcends the classroom.
