Three groups of students from the degrees in Logistics and Multimodal Transportation, from the Faculty of Nautical Sciences, had the opportunity to do field work on an academic tour that took place in the Logistics Park of Panama Pacifico, specifically at the facilities of the Logistics company. ATL -Alliance Transport Logistic-. In this important academic space, the students were able to observe, first-hand, how cargo movement operations, stowage, and rolling equipment to move cargo are carried out, they observed the warehouses and interacted with parts of the operations.
Likewise, they received a presentation by the General Manager of ATL 3PL & Services, Eng. Andrés Barbosa, who shared interesting data on how the company is structured, what are the innovations, the new trends for the logistics field, its processes and services to offer to customers. In the talk there was time for questions and answers, where many questions from the students were cleared, who stood out for their important participation
This type of activities, which are constantly carried out by the Faculty, have generated analysis and conclusions by the students, about the importance of studying, being self-taught and observing that the sector is broad and evolving.
The event, which took place on October 1 and was supervised by Professor Alberto Castillo, was carried out with all security measures, since the company supplied industrial safety equipment, reflective vests, helmets, prior to the tour to the Company operating facilities.
