Umecit – University in Panama

A delegation of Colombian universities undertakes academic mobility in Panama.

Within the framework of the actions that promote international cooperation and academic strengthening, our House of Studies received the visit of a delegation made up of 22 students and 5 teachers of the San Buenaventura, Sinú, and Simón Bolívar Universities of Colombia, who carried out a academic mobility in Panama.

During the day, participants toured the university facilities, where they met the teaching and administrative staff, as well as the various academic and research spaces that are part of our University.

The delegation was received by the Master Andrea Pinzón, Internationalization Coordinator, who offered a warm welcome to the visitors and presented the institutional advances in the field of university internationalization, academic mobility, student exchanges and strengthening multiculturalism and multidisciplinarity.

Also, the participation of the Lic. Geraldine Morales, a graduate of UMECIT and current collaborator of visiting universities, who gave a lecture aimed at faculty and career coordinators on higher education and internationalization of higher education in Colombia.

As part of the agenda, the students participated in a talk about the Ports of Panama and the national logistics hub, in charge of Master Eduardo Dixon, as well as in a brief exposition on business administration, developed by the Master Emmanuel Mendieta, reinforcing their knowledge of the country's economic and business reality.

This visit reaffirms the UMECIT's institutional commitment to internationalization, academic mobility, and knowledge exchange, promoting experiences that enrich students' global vision and strengthen cooperative ties with partner universities in the region.
