Agreement with the Ministry of Public Security expands training opportunities and institutional cooperation
The Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology -UMECIT- and the Ministry of Public Security of Panama (MINSEG) signed an Educational Cooperation Agreement, valid for five years, which will allow the development of joint initiatives for academic training, research and service to society.
The agreement establishes collaborative mechanisms to promote training, guidance, and awareness programs, as well as professional internships, research projects, and university community service activities. These actions aim to facilitate knowledge exchange and contribute to professional development and institutional strengthening.
The agreement includes the Ministerial Headquarters and the institutions linked to MINSEG: the National Police (PN), the National Migration Service (SNM), the National Aeronaval Service (SENAN), the National Border Service (SENAFRONT) and the Single System for Prehospital Emergency Management (SUME).
Through this alliance, both institutions will be able to coordinate efforts and develop projects of common interest that respond to the country's training, research and development needs.
With this initiative, UMECIT expands its cooperation ties with the public sector and reaffirms its commitment to an education connected with the needs of Panamanian society.
