The Metropolitan University of Education, Sciences and Technology UMECIT obtained in the the year 2014 the ISO 9001:2008 certification, in correspondence with the institutional mission before the commitment to continuous improvement, compared to international standards increased the quality of products and services.
Reaffirming the commitment in the year 2017 Recertification with the update of the standard ISO version 9001:2015, making the members of the university community aware of the strengthening of administrative and academic management against international standards, with the new commitments acquired, established in the monitoring of risks identified according to the standard and promoting the adoption of an approach based on PDCA processes (Plan, Do, Check and Act).
On January 23, 24 and 25 of the current year, the second Audit of External monitoring by the company Global Group Services chaired by the external auditor Eng. Rody Cardona and from the UMECIT University Eng. Boris Castillo Director of Quality, in conjunction with Dr. William Leal Director of Planning, Dr. Gressy Zúñiga director of accreditation and the UMECIT team, obtaining satisfactory results, since Institutional strengthening was demonstrated in all audited areas.
In a meeting held on January 26 with Mr. Cardona and the UMECIT authorities, Mr. Rector José Alberto Nieto and Dr. Claudia Marcela Rueda made themselves known to the community university the closing of the audit, emphasizing the excellent work done before the compliance with the processes that sustain the dynamics of the university.
