We celebrate the 10th anniversary of RUPADES by reaffirming its commitment to sustainable development.

The 10th anniversary of the Network of Panamanian Universities for Sustainable Development (RUPADES) was commemorated at an event that brought together representatives from various universities in the country, along with the Ministry of the Environment (MI AMBIENTE), through its Directorate of Environmental Culture.

During the event, an exhibition was presented highlighting the main actions and achievements of RUPADES in its first decade, highlighting its impact on promoting environmental management and its contribution to sustainable development in Panama. Since its creation in 2015, the network has strengthened cooperation between 29 public and private universities, promoting initiatives aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

UMECIT, as an active member of RUPADES, reaffirms its commitment to sustainable education, responsible entrepreneurship, and community well-being, actively contributing to the training of professionals who are aware of their impact on the environment.
