Research training for Medical Records and Health Statistics students at UMECIT David

At the headquarters of UMECIT David, a training course was held for students of the Bachelor's Degree in Medical Records and Health Statistics, who are preparing to play a key role as an auxiliary team in the Institutional Research Project titled: Epidemiological profile of UMECIT students in the blended learning modality at the David campus regarding the COVID-19 pandemicThis study is led by the Dr. Alfredo Lammie and seeks to generate relevant knowledge in the field of public health.

During the training, participants addressed key aspects such as:

• Data collection instruments that will be applied in the study.
• Informed consent and its importance in research.
• Using Epi Info software for the analysis of epidemiological data.

This study aims to provide valuable information for the implementation of preventive measures and intervention strategies that contribute to reducing risk factors and preventing community transmission inside and outside the classroom.
