The Christmas campaign of the "Hands that Transform" Project brings joy to children of the CEBG Los Llanitos de San Carlos

UMECIT carried out the Christmas Campaign of the Hands that Transform Project in it CEBG Los Llanitos de San Carlos, an initiative aimed at strengthening social ties and promoting a spirit of solidarity among the university community.

The activity was organized by the Extension Coordination Office, with the support of the Campus Coordination Office, and included the participation of students from various majors. As part of the planning, the Extension Coordination Office managed the contact with the educational center and coordinated the participation of the Group 2024 Saturday Day Program of the Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and Human Development, who took on the role of godparents of the school and led the delivery of Christmas gifts for the children.

The students organized themselves to bring a moment of joy to the children at the school, sharing toys, bags of fruit, candy, hot dogs, piñatas, and other surprises. This day coincided with the International Volunteer Day (December 5)reaffirming the willingness and altruistic spirit of the UME community, which continues to contribute to social welfare through Hands that Transform Volunteer Project, an initiative that strengthens the positive impact on communities and promotes the comprehensive development of students.
