During the month of July, the Veneto B campus became the epicentre of a remarkable initiative promoted by students of the Occupational Health and Safety course, who, within the framework of their professional practice, carried out a successful health promotion campaign in the classrooms, complemented by active breaks that revitalised the academic environment. This initiative had the enthusiastic collaboration of Radiology students, who actively joined in the activities, reinforcing the interdisciplinary spirit that characterises the university community.
The campaign, designed with a comprehensive approach, included daily activities aimed at strengthening the commitment to safety and health within the educational environment. The active breaks, which took place during class hours, consisted of short physical exercises and relaxation activities, which not only promoted the physical well-being of students, but also contributed to reducing stress and increasing concentration.
One of the pillars of the campaign was the importance of ergonomics in students’ daily lives. During the health promotion sessions, it was stressed how good posture and proper use of furniture can prevent long-term injuries and improve overall well-being. In addition, the different types of risks to which both students and staff are exposed in the academic environment were addressed, including physical, chemical, biological and psychosocial risks. Essential information was provided on how to identify these risks and best practices to mitigate them, always with the aim of maintaining a safe and healthy study and work environment.
The response from the student community was exceptional. Participants expressed their gratitude, highlighting the immediate benefits to their well-being and academic performance. The campaign not only promoted healthy habits, but also highlighted the importance of prevention and well-being in everyday life, consolidating the university's commitment to safety and health in the classroom.
This interdisciplinary collaboration, led by Occupational Health and Safety students with the support of their Radiology colleagues, once again demonstrates the university's ongoing efforts to ensure a safer and healthier environment for all.
