XXIII Research Conference, highlighting the student contribution to knowledge generation, at the Santiago campus

The Santiago campus of the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology (UMECIT) held the XXIII Research Conference, an academic space that promotes scientific dissemination and allows students to present the progress and results of projects developed from the classroom.

This year's edition featured 17 research projects from various academic programs, including Occupational Safety and Health, Law and Political Science, Criminalistics and Forensic Science, Maritime and Port Administration, Logistics, Social Work, Medical Records and Health Statistics, and Electrical Engineering Technician. Each project demonstrated the students' commitment to critical analysis, innovation, and finding solutions to problems in their communities.

The event featured a virtual presentation by Dr. Diana Esperanza Carmona, a research professor at the University of Caldas (Colombia), who shared insights on the importance of research in professional development. Her presentation motivated students to continue developing projects that contribute to community development and strengthen their academic growth.
