A closing full of emotions and learning in the Golden Age program

Last Tuesday December 10thUMECIT proudly celebrated the completion of the pilot program Golden Age, an initiative designed to promote academic development, empowerment, job continuity and family integration for older adults. This program reaffirms our commitment to inclusion and the comprehensive well-being of all generations.

In an event full of joy and emotion, the participants received their certificates of participation, accompanied by their families, who shared the satisfaction of seeing the achievements made. The commitment and dedication of the older adults shone, reminding us that It's never too late to learn and grow.

One of the most moving moments was the Message of thanks from Mrs. Belkis Hernandez, who sincerely expressed the positive impact this program had on his life, motivating everyone present with his words.

The ceremony also included a beautiful cultural presentation by the children's choir of the Holy Family Church of the San Óscar Arnulfo Romero Chapel (SOAR), adding a special touch of warmth and generational connection.

In addition, we had the outstanding presence of academic authorities, who recognized the effort and perseverance of the participants:

  • Jose Alberto Nieto, Rector of UMECIT.
  • Master Yelitza Gonzalez, Director of Outreach.
  • Master Jardiel Moreno, Graduate Coordinator.
  • Master Yamileth Gonzalez, Coordinator of the Megamol headquarters.

Each of them highlighted the importance of this type of initiatives, motivating the participants to continue being an example of improvement and inspiration for society.

At UMECIT we continue to support inclusive and transformative education, positively impacting all generations.
