UMECIT and UPTC sign Framework Agreement for International Cooperation

The Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology (UMECIT) and the Pedagogical and Technological University of Colombia (UPTC) formalized the signing of an Framework Agreement for Institutional Cooperation, reaffirming the commitment of both institutions to academic strengthening and regional integration.

During the formal ceremony, institutional videos from UMECIT and UPTC were presented, highlighting their respective trajectories, founding principles, and international educational projection.

The purpose of the agreement is establish and regulate lasting institutional relationships for the development of joint initiatives in the areas academic, research, cultural and outreach, with a view to enhancing the resources, capabilities and talents of both universities.

The signing was attended by the distinguished participation of Dr. Enrique Vera López, by the UPTC; the Dr. Jose Alberto Nieto Rojas, representing UMECIT; and as a witness of honor, His Excellency, Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia, Fabio Mariño Vargas.

This agreement represents a strategic step toward strengthening higher education that is more collaborative, innovative, and committed to addressing global challenges.

UMECIT reaffirms its vision of academic internationalization, building bridges with sister universities for joint growth.
